"650 Polygon John Carmack" is a 5' tall (including pedestal) sculpture. It is not a portrait of Carmack, it is a portrait of the low polygon game avatar of him that was included for Deathmatch play in Quake III. I appropriated the 3d low polygon character model from the Quake III game, and converted it (keeping the hard edged, faceted aesthetic of game characters circa 1995) so that it could be milled by CNC in hard foam.
