Thanks Alan, but I already tried that of course!
By using a taller periscope I could see my husband, and my
husband could see the cat but the cat couldn't see the goldfish.
On the other hand if I put my husband on monitor 1 and the
cat on the modem, I can't see the second keyboard.
Also if I move the Left monitor to the right of the Right monitor,
windows which should appear on the Left monitor don't appear
on the right monitor, they appear on the Right monitor (the one
on the left) and windows which should be on the Right monitor
are left on the Left monitor instead of the right one, which is
the Right one on the left of the Left one of course.
So I moved them back how they were but I think I got the cables
mixed up because now I 'm left with the wrong windows on the right
side of the left monitor and the right windows on the left side of
the wrong monitor.
BTW Your idea of plugging the mouse into the printer port
was a disaster. Now every time I try formatting drive A:\
it dials the modem and tries connecting to:

I tried using Girder to reprogram the extra buttons on monitor 2
(V-Pos, H-Size, etc) to send commands to the PP Misc plugin,
but it can't handle the Chinese double-bite scan codes,
so I went back to using the Degauss button for showing
my Notes menu and V-Size for launching Explorer.
Also there's a naming conflict:
The Display Control Panel calls them monitor 0 and monitor 1,
but the video driver calls them monitor 1 and monitor 2.
When I try configuring monitor 2 to use the printer driver,
I get an error message: "No such device Monitor 5" and the
scanner locks up.
Is there a driver that lets the printer be used as a third monitor?
BTW Alex, I tried your suggestion about the toaster plug-in.
It kind of works except that whenever the VCR is rewinding a tape,
the microwave goes into reverse cycle and freezes stuff.
Maybe I need a more recent version of Girder.
