For now I know only one way to copy files and directories from one disk to another keeping timestamps: to rar them and unrar to new destination using WinRAR.
If this procedure(duplicating dir trees) IS POSSIBLE and can be done but with one extra middle step: archiving, then why not to make it possible without that step??? Even if other file managers do repeat this standard mistake of Windows Explorer! Even if we do really have reasons to blame Microsoft!
YES, I understand that when a directory or file is copied a new one is actually being created on a new place that very moment. But why not to change this new directory timestamp to the source directory timestamp after the copying is done??? WinRAR DOES that! Isn't it possible JUST TO REPEAT WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN IMPLEMENTED???
